旅行的意義

For many people in Taiwan, Mar.22 is a significant day because it is the presidential election day of Taiwan. As for me, there is also a special meaning. It is my first to vote. In my country, people get the vote at the age of 20, and we can choose the candidate who we favor. There are two main political parties in Taiwan, the Nationalist Party (KMT) and the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP). A few days ago, I recalled the gunshot case of our sitting president. I am very impressed that our candidate for president was shot abruptly while he passed through the street in Tainan four years ago. This unexpected incident leads the presidential election into a very intense competition. We could see the dramatic impact of the incident from the result of election. There was only a little vote difference between two candidates. Fortunately, the presidential election of year 2008 ended peacefully, and now it is KMT’s turn to hold the reins of government. Let’s see the achievements of our new government in the future.
